Rod Boone caught up with C.J. Watson on his African trip and the Nets back-up point guard said that the "buzz" about the Nets isn't limited to Brooklyn or New York. It's something that NBA players "get", too.
"The buzz is pretty big in the city," he said, "but also when players are finding out that I signed there, they are always saying congrats. ... It’s exciting. It’s always exciting to play for a good team."
Watson wouldn't step back from what his teammates, Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson, have said about going for a ring...this year. He cited his relationship with Deron Williams, who he played with a decade ago on USA's Under-19 team. "I’m sure it’s going to be fun to play with him now. And hopefully … we can win a championship. You never know."
