CBS Sports ranks each team's off-season, "since Game 5 of the NBA Finals." That means the draft, free agency and any other moves, like the Nets' move to Brooklyn. Matt Moore ranks Lakers first, based on the acquisition of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. He puts the Nets second.

Re-signed Deron Williams. Found him a running mate. The money doesn't matter because the owner is loaded. They brought back Brook Lopez and kept Gerald Wallace, so the trade of their lottery pick wasn't worthless. They added to the bench and moved into the offices in Brooklyn. So yeah, they did allright. The Nets may not win a championship, but they moved way up the ladder.

He ranks the Nets' division rivals third (Philadelphia); sixth (Boston); 15th (Toronto) and 16th (New York).
