Is Donte' a Diamond in the Rough?

It's what keeps fans going this time of year. News is slow. Pickings are slim at the bottom of the barrel, GMs are on vacation in some sunny clime. But maybe, just maybe, the guy your team just signed (or just invited to camp) has some potential that was missed by his previous employer(s).

It happens, but not often. So, Chris Hooker of Nets Are Scorching writes Monday about why we should feel good about the signing of Donte Greene, how he fits with the team's mantra of versatility, how he is a high character guy who fans love (he even saved a woman from drowning!) and how there is some intriguing and untapped potential there. He also looks at the other side, a flawed shooting style, a history of poor shot selection, etc. But, hey, it's August!
