In talking to reporters at his basketball camp Thursday, Carmelo Anthony was asked about the rivalry with the Brooklyn Nets.
"We’ve just got to win the basketball game," he responded. "There's no rivalry between us and Brooklyn right now. It starts on that first game. We’ll see what happens with that first game. But as of right now, we are focused on ourselves. We are not really focused on nobody else."
However, Deron Williams Olympic teammate admitted that the Nets and others in the division have gotten better. "Brooklyn got better. Philly got better with Bynum. Boston is Boston. We’ll see what happens."
