Part of the Nets scoreboard at Barclays Center is now in place. As Instagram images posted Thursday show, the bulk of the scoreboard is nearing assembly on the arena floor, but the top piece is already in place. Also in place are most, if not all, of the seats in the lower bowl. Courtside seating is now being installed.
The arena has long been scheduled for "substantial completion" on September 5, a little more than three weeks away. The bar in Mikhail Prokhorov's supersuite still needs some work however. Special thanks to octoberGR8NESS for cataloging the images. Meanwhile, The New York Commercial Observer cites the legal battle to get the arena built as one of the top 15 legal fights in New York real estate in the 21st century.
