Earlier today, the Mavericks believed they had signed Kidd with a 3 year, $9.5 million offer. The Knick bid was reportedly higher.
Last week, the Nets thought they could sign both Deron Williams and Kidd but cap issues moved them in a different direction.With the aid of their mutual agent, Jeff Schwartz, both took the better offer. Each disappointed Dallas fans and Mark Cuban who's also lost out on Steve Nash.
