At the center of the Dwight Howard rumors has been Brook Lopez. He's the big piece the Nets would like to use to bring Howard to Brooklyn. But it's complicated. Lopez has to approve and right now, his brother and adviser, Chris, isn't sure what he'd do. "Honestly, I couldn’t answer that, it’s Brook’s call." said Chris Lopez, throwing some doubt into the call.

"He wants to be a Brooklyn Net. He hasn’t played anywhere else and he likes the organization. He wants to be a part of it now that they’re going to be good," said Brook's older brother when asked about the prospect of playing for the Magic, so close to Disney World. Chris added that Brook is now back in California working out and doing well. "He has been working really hard toward seeing it through to Brooklyn."

Meanwhile, the other significant player the Nets would have to give up, Marshon Brooks, is ready for anything, his agent says. "MarShon has been working extremely hard, and is looking forward to having his hard work pay [off], no matter the colors on his uniform," said Seth Cohen.
