Dwightmare IV? Magic To Keep D12

Presswire

It could be the winter of our discontent. The Magic has been telling teams interested in Dwight Howard that they are likely to wait for a while before dealing him. Chris Broussard, official historian of the Dwightmare, reports, "the overriding sense is that Howard may not be moved for weeks, if not months."

That, of course, could change the dynamic of the Nets pursuit of Howard. With the signing of Brook Lopez and later Kris Humphries, it was believed that the Nets were out of the Dwightmare. The Magic, the thinking went, were likely to trade Howard to L.A. or Houston before January 15, when the two Nets big men could be dealt. Now, however, if the Magic are willing to wait, the Nets could be back in the mix.
