In an interview with Sports Pro, the UK sports business journal, Bruce Ratner says the biggest pluses of Barclays Center will be it's city feel and mass transit.
"The first I think is the sports aspect. It’s urban. Sports does incredibly well in an urban environment," said Ratner. "Sports is urban. Cities were built by people getting together and creating community, and that’s what you get with urban sports.
"Imagine 11 train lines underground, coming into a facility. It’s more than any place in this country. It’s more than Times Square. It’s more than any location in downtown Manhattan," he added. "Every train, virtually, comes into this arena, and then the Long Island railroad."
