The Dwightmare is over (again) and now with Brook Lopez signed to a four year, $61 million deal, the Nets attention is turning to the center they have, not the center they want(ed).
"I expected big things from him last year," Deron Williams said Saturday after Team USA practice."Unfortunately, the injury bug got him. This year I know he’s working out hard, he’s ready to go and we definitely expect him to be a big force for our team. We need him in the middle."
Billy King, who apologized to Lopez for the trade rumors before signing him, said he made sure Lopez knows where the Nets stand with him. "That’s what I said [to him]: ‘You’re the starting center for the Brooklyn Nets and you’re opening the building.’ "
