The Nets will introduce Joe Johnson and re-introduce Deron Williams Friday at a Brooklyn Borough Hall press conference and "celebration." The press conference starts at noon and is close to the public. The party however will be open to the public starting at 1 p.m. on the plaza outside Borough Hall, at Remsen and Court Street.
The party, entitled, "Brooklyn's Backcourt" will feature Williams, Johnson, Borough President Marty Markowitz, who first broached the subject of buying the Nets to Bruce Ratner; Billy King, Avery Johnson, Brooklyn Nets and Brett Yormark. Nets Public Address Announcer David Diamante will emcee. In addition, the Nets new dance team, the Brooklynettes will perform and the Nets Experience, their promotional trailer, will be on hand.
