As the day wears on, so does the news about the Nets off-season moves. The team officially confirmed what has been known for a week, that the Atlanta Hawks are sending six-time All-Star swingman Joe Johnson to the Nets for five players: Anthony Morrows, Jordan Farmar, Jordan Williams, Johan Petro and DeShawn Stevenson. Also headed to Atlanta: Houston's 2013 lottery protected first round pick, obtained by the Nets in 2010 for Terrence Williams.
Johnson is owed $89.3 million over four years. He is 31 years old. In addition to his six straight All-Star selections, Johnson was All-NBA third team in 2010. "We are very pleased to add a perennial All-Star caliber player like Joe Johnson to our roster," said Billy King.
