The Nets' outscored the Celtics 27-7 in the second quarter on Tuesday and led by as many as 17 points. But they couldn't hold on to the lead, gave up 30 points in the fourth quarter, and dropped their second game in the Orlando Summer League, 82-73.
Al Thornton led the Nets with 16 points and got to the line 11 times, but shot just 3-for-13 from the field. MarShon Brooks recovered from his 0-for-10 performance on Monday to score 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting. Adam Morrison and Tyshawn Taylor each scored 10 points, while Toko Shengelia added eight in 14 minutes. Taylor threw down the dunk of the day.
The surprise performer of the afternoon was back-up big man Bryant Dunston, who grabbed 10 rebounds.
