That was fast. Mirza Teletovic is free to negotiate a deal with NBA teams after his agent announced Wednesday that he and Caja Laboral have reached a buyout deal. Although the amount of the buyout was not revealed, reports put the number at between $2 million and $2.5 million. The Nets can contribute $550,000 to a buyout.
Marca, the Spanish sports site said the Nets, Cavaliers, Suns and Knicks have all inquired about his availability. "Mirza Teletovic agreed with Caja Laboral how much will cost his freedom to sign for any of interested Nba teams," tweeted his agent, Misko Raznatovic. "The buy-out is signed."
For its part, Caja said the amount of his buyout was not the result of a negotiation but was "fixed" by a clause in his contract.
