Mitch Lawence reports that the Phoenix Suns will pursue Deron Williams if they cannot re-sign Steve Nash.
Lawrence quotes a source familiar with Phoenix's thinking as saying, ""If they lose Steve, then they plan to go after Deron, hard," said a person with knowledge of the Suns’ plans. "They know he loves golf and they’re going to try to sell him on going out there."
Alternately, Lawrence writes, "the Suns view the Knicks, Raptors and even the Nets as their biggest competitors for Nash’s services." On the subject of the lottery, Lawrence quotes a "team exec" as saying, "After the Hornets, the next biggest winner on lottery night was Gerald Wallace."
