Dennis Horner has accepted an invitation to the Nets summer league camp, but he'll be among four Armor players at the third-annual D-League Elite Mini Camp on Monday and Tuesday at Chicago’s Moody Bible Institute. Bob MacKinnon, the Armor coach, will also be there to help run the camp. The Nets will be on hand to further scout D-League talent.

Although the Nets had Horner in camp, called him up twice and invited him to summer camp, they don't retain his rights. So anytime he gets an opportunity to show his skills to other NBA teams, he's likely to do it. Speaking in general about the Nets D-League strategy, Milton Lee said, "We want them to succeed with the Nets / Springfield. If not the Nets, we want them to have opportunities to succeed w another team in the NBA."

Besides Horner, Nets call-up Jerry Smith, D-League assist leader JamesOn Curry and dunk champion L.D. Williams will be on hand. Jeff Foote, who's also accepted a Nets summer camp invitation, declined an offer. More than 40 top prospects will be on hand. The Nets had several of the D-League's top players in for their Free Agent Mini-Camp last month.
