Julian Wright, once a highly regarded lottery pick from Kansas, will play for the Nets this summer in the Orlando Summer League, he told the Lawrence (KS) Journal-World.
A 6'9" combo forward, Wright played sparingly for firs the Hornets, then the Raptors after being taken at #13 in the 2007 Draft. He never averaged better than five points a game but seemed to resurrect his career this year in the D-League, winning the D-League title with the Austin Toros. Now 25, he worked out with the Nets at the free agent mini-camp last month.
Avery Johnson tried Wright at both forward positions during the three-day mini-camp.
