The latest documentation on construction progress at Barclays Center show the arena still set for completion three weeks before Opening Night, with major milestones now either passed or within sight.

The monthly report to the arena bondholders shows that September 5 remains the date for "substantial completion." That's three weeks before Jay-Z's Opening Night concert. Meanwhile, the bi-weekly construction update notes that the roof is now complete over the arena bowl and the canopy over the entrance plaza is taking shape. The canopy will be cantilevered 80 feet out over the plaza and sit 30 feet above it. Within the canopy is the "oculus" where video will be projected.

In other news in the update, arena bowl ribbon (video boards) are being installed this month and the main scoreboard hoist has been hung. Daktronics is supplying more than $7 million in scoreboards and video screens throughout the arena.
