Just when you thought it was safe to go into the Twittersphere. Dwightmare II has begun! With the Magic firing its GM and coach and both its CEO and senior v.p. suggesting they and Dwight Howard are approaching crunchtime, there's no hope of avoiding it. Chris Broussard and Jared Rudolph have spoken: Brooklyn it is!
Complicating matters is the Lakers demise with L.A. fans and beat writers speculating on how they can construct a team (apparently outside the CBA) composed of Howard, Kobe Bryant, Deron Williams and Chris Paul. The Rockets too think they have the pieces (Only Chris Sheridan thinks the Knicks are players). Meanwhile, the Nets have gone radio silent, other than to express confidence about Williams' future.
Next crucial date for everyone is the Draft Lottery, a week from Wednesday. Should the Nets get a top three pick, they'd stand a better chance of making a deal. If they don't, however, that's not going to stop speculation. Nothing has yet.
