On Tuesday, Deron Williams said he will make "a basketball decision" in choosing the team he will sign with this summer. Andy Vasquez believes that Brooklyn could be the best place for Williams to win, citing the Nets' west coast trip as evidence that the Gerald Wallace trade is "already starting to pay dividends."
"As a Net, Williams could have a young nucleus with players such as Brook Lopez, Gerald Green and MarShon Brooks, and veteran help from Gerald Wallace," Vasquez writes.
And what about the Mavs and the opportunity to team up with Dirk Nowitzki? "Nowitzki, 33, is closer to the end than to the beginning, and it's unclear who else the Mavs would be able to surround Williams with."
