In season ending rookie rankings, MarShon Brooks, taken at #25, ranks in two pundits' top ten and another's top 20.Of course, he finished third in rookie scoring at 12.6 ppg, behind only Kyrie Irving and Brandon Knight, both top ten picks.

Drew Packham of NBA.com ranks Brooks ninth, calling him, "one of the bigger revelations of the Draft", adding "the Nets must be thrilled with what they saw in his first season." Sebastian Pruiti of Grantland has him one place lower, "He has a nice awkwardness in his offensive game, which is full of hesitation dribbles and pull-up jump shots," Pruiti writes. "The fact that he can finish at the NBA level is a good sign for Brooks and the Nets." Pruiti continues to criticize Brooks' "lazy" defense.

David Thorpe of ESPN didn't name Brooks to either his first or second team All-Rookie, ranking him 16th.
