Bob MacKinnon, who took the Springfield Armor from D-League doormat to Eastern Conference champion, finished second in Coach of the Year competition, the league announced today.
Eric Musselman, who coached Gerald Green at the L.A. Defenders, won the honor.
MacKinnon, who's been working with the Nets coaching staff this week, said this year's experience was one of the best he's had in a lifetime of basketball. Now, he's getting ready to help out with the Nets summer league team, some of whom he's worked with on the Armor. The Nets also confirmed that Marshon Brooks and Jordan Williams, this season's rookies, will join Dennis Horner as confirmed players for the Nets summer league entry.
