In a walk-through of the Barclays Center construction site, Bruce Ratner shows off the Nets practice court, the yet unadorned locker room ("Here's where the players celebrate the wins!") and the arena floor. Barclays, he says, has been designed to keep the sounds of screaming fans reverberating inside the Brooklyn arena.
"Acoustically, it's so tight and close, you'll be able to hear everything. a lot of arenas have giant arenas, spread out, Not this one!" said Ratner, adding that the street level views through to the scoreboard will enhance the idea of a transparent experience.
Better than pumped-in crowd noise, we say.
