The Nets announced Friday afternoon that they have signed point guard Armon Johnson for the remainder of the season. Johnson was originally signed to a 10-day contract on April 9th.

He has played 44 minutes in five games since then, shooting 10-for-17 from the field. With Deron Williams and Jordan Farmar on the shelf, Johnson has been backing up Sundiata Gaines.

Fred Kerber tweets that the Johnson signing "may indicate Deron Williams won't be ready Saturday in Milwaukee. Update expected Sat A.M."
