The Nets have announced that Deron Williams (sore right calf) and Gerald Wallace (strained left hamstring) will not play Monday vs. the Heat. Sundiata Gaines will start for the Nets at point guard, Armon Johnson, in the seventh day of a 10-day contract, will back him up. The Nets also said Gerald Green and Jordan Williams will start. Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier and Ronny Turiaf are out for Miami.

The Nets are nearing 250 games missed to injury, illness and personal reasons and already have six players who've suffered season-ending injuries. Avery Johnson said the Nets will give Wallace a thorough workout Tuesday to see if he can play again. Johnson said D-Will is day-to-day. With only four games left after the Heat, that leaves open the possibility that he may not play again this season.
