The Nets traveled to Philadelphia Thursday night as their boss returned to Moscow. Mikhail Prokhorov's trip was generally considered a success, with him showing he's still very committed to the team and meeting with both the front office and the three free key free agents next year, Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Gerald Wallace.

The Nets of course are playing out the string hoping to play the spoiler against teams whose playoff chances are not yet secure. The 76ers are one such team. While they seem to good for the playoffs, they and the Knicks are fighting for the seventh spot. But if the Nets are going to make any impression in Philly, they'll have to play with a lot more effort than they did in Newark on Tuesday. And they'll have to do it without Wallace who is "highly doubtful" with a strained hamstring. There's no guarantee, in fact, that he'll return this season.

For the Sixers, their victory over the Nets seemed to re-invigorate them. They beat the Raptors by 18 in Toronto on Wednesday and are at home for the Nets Friday, then don't play again till Monday when they face the struggling Magic.
