Game 53 - Nets @ Warriors - Friday, March 30, 10:30

Presswire

The Nets will start their 21st different lineup Friday, with Deron Williams, Marshon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace and Johan Petro. Signing Dennis Horner to a 10-day contract will mark the sixth time a D-Leaguer has been called up. "It’s just stuff that happens. Guys go down some times. You gotta keep playing," Deron Williams said after the Nets win over the Pacers. It's just that said "stuff" keeps happening to the Nets.

The Warriors aren't immune to the injury-bug either and when they traded Monta Ellis for Andrew Bogut just before the deadline, they realized they'd be losing more games to injury since Bogut (ankle) was already out for the season. Stephen Curry is also out (foot) Friday and maybe the rest of the year, although he wants to play. Andris Biedrins (groin) is out for a while. Of course, they still have David Lee (19.5 and 9.7)

Mark Jackson has given some of his younger players big minutes to make up for all the hurt. Rookies Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins (out of Brooklyn) and Jeremy Tyler have all be racking up minutes. But they've lost three straight and eight of their last 10. One advantage for GSW: Their first round pick, sent to the Nets then to the Jazz, is protected 1 through 7. If they finish in the top seven after the lottery, they keep it. If not, it goes to the Jazz.
