There's new details Friday on the Nets pick sent to the Trail Blazers along with Mehmet Okur and Shawne Williams for Gerald Wallace.
According to the Oregonian, if the Nets luck out and get a top-three pick this summer, they will still have to surrender a pick to the Blazers going forward. The pick becomes top-two protected in 2013, then top-one in 2014 and finally unprotected in 2015. The Nets currently has the sixth worst record in the NBA.
If the Nets have to surrender the pick this year, then their obligation to the Blazers ends.
