Kerber: Diaw, Miles Deals Unlikely

In a tweet 24 hours before the trade deadline, Fred Kerber reports that there is "little chance of proposed Boris Diaw deal for Nets. C.J. Miles even more doubtful." Reports Tuesday and Wednesday had the Nets trading their Houston pick and Johan Petro to the Bobcats for Diaw and to the Jazz for Miles.

Kerber has written that if the Nets don't get Dwight Howard at the deadline, expect them to make deals for expiring contracts in hopes of ridding the payroll of contracts that might interfere with their plan to sign Howard, Deron Williams and Brook Lopez.
