Monta Ellis to Orlando? Nope

It's silly season. As the trade deadline rapidly approaches, new proposals arise and fall. Some, however, aren't even real, among them the rumored three-team deal that would send Monta Ellis to Orlando and Andrew Bogut to Golden State. Both Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld and long time Warrior beat writer Marcus Thompson II say no such deal. Tweets Kennedy...

Source close to the situation denied the rumored talks between the Warriors, Magic and Bucks: "No discussion whatsoever. Not one call." I said yesterday that a deal between ORL, MIL, GSW makes sense, but I've been told emphatically that it hasn't been discussed.

Thompson reports that even if the Warriors had been approached, there is NO interest on Golden State's part...

There is basically no combination of players, from Orlando and/or New Orleans, that will make the Warriors part with Ellis.

So what's the latest? Ric Bucher has been on the airwaves Tuesday saying the Magic have promised Howard that they will add a "quality player" before Thursday’s deadline and that Howard can decide the fate of both GM Otis Smith and coach Stan Van Gundy. Who might that player be? Think Stephen Jackson, says Bucher.
