Two fans got all dressed up in Nets gear Wednesday night and made their way to the Verizon Center in downtown Washington. No, they hadn't got their schedule mixed up. Nor was it a casual trip. It had a purpose: to let Dwight Howard, whose Magic were playing the Wizards, know Nets fans want him in New Jersey (Brooklyn?).
They held up their Dwight Howard and Deron Williams "big heads", shouted ""DO THE TRADE! DO IT!!!" at Otis Smith, told Ryan Anderson they missed him, tried to get Howard's attention, had their picture taken and in general dumbfounded those around them in the THIRD ROW! How were they received? "Like protesters at a funeral." Seems appropriate.
