Gerald Green will benefit from the Nets lack of depth (read: horrible luck) at small forward Tuesday night in Dallas. Avery Johnson says the 6'8" Green will "absolutely" play, a minimum of 12 minutes, backing up the only healthy SF, DeShawn Stevenson.
"He looked pretty good. He’s in shape and he’s pretty explosive," Johnson said after watching Green practice at SMU in Dallas Monday. For Green, it will be his first NBA game since leaving Dallas for tours in Russia, China and the D-League three years ago. The Nets worked out Green and another unnamed small forward in Houston last week.
