Brooks Back In Top Rookie Ranks

Presswire

Lost in the "Dwight Night" (the first of many, we hope) was MarShon Brooks performance, perhaps his best thus far in the NBA. He scored a season high 24 points on 10-for-15 shooting and 4-for-7 from deep. Both the 10 field goals and the four three's were also season highs for the Nets' guard.

Even before that, however, the rookie rankers had taken notice and the specific ranks seem to depend on when the analysis was written. Sebastian Pruiti at Grantland, who posted before the Magic game, ranks Brooks No. 6, suggesting he was still a little rusty...and he might need to think a bit more before he shoots the three. Drew Packham at NBA.com, who seems to have posted after that game, has Brooks at No. 3, just behind Kyrie Irving and Ricky Rubio.
