Standing in front a huge banner featuring Deron Williams and Barclays Center Brett Yormark told a crowd of 800 students at Mikhail Prokhorov's alma mater that the Nets are still aiming at fulfilling the owner's promise to bring a championship to Brooklyn by 2015. Yormark is in Moscow for three days on mainly a promotional tour aimed at Russian fans.

In the address, which included a surprise visit by the Moscow Financial Institute's most famous alumnus, and in interviews, Yormark stressed the Nets global perspective in marketing. "As the first foreign owner in NBA history, [Prokhorov] makes our club very attractive for fans outside of North America," Yormark told Sport Express.

"The championship ambitions of the owner of the club and the flexibility that we just talked about will let us consider a set of options for strengthening [the team]" he added. "One thing is for sure: we need new stars. In the NBA, it's necessary in order to qualify for higher ground. And I am sure in the summer, Billy King and his team will have done a good job to make Brooklyn proud of his team."

Also, at the event, Prokhorov informed students he would be spending Valentines Day with Ksenia Sobchak, often referred to as the Paris HIlton of Russia.
