Brooklyn Kids Go Wild Over Nets

Although the visit was announced and publicized, the arrival of three Nets players made students at the Brooklyn High School for Leadership and Community Service scream, cheer and even cry. Deron Williams, Kris Humphries and DeShawn Stevenson ran a basketball clinic at the school but also had a lot of fun.

One male student said of the visit, "I'm excited to see Deron Williams. I'm not excited about seeing anyone else because Deron Williams is my favorite player." while a female student, finding it hard to control herself called Humphries her favorite because "he's so tall and scrumptious." It's part of a big week for Nets community efforts, with three other Nets visiting pediatric patients in Hackensack Monday and three others running a clinic in Warren, N.J. Tuesday.
