The effort was better than it was a night earlier, but the Nets were no match for the Spurs at the Prudential Center on Saturday, dropping their sixth straight game and falling to 3-10 at home.

The Spurs took control early in the second quarter and led by 15 at the half. The Nets cut the lead to six midway through the third period, but the Spurs answered with a 15-3 run to finish the quarter. They led by as many as 21 points in the fourth before settling for a 103-89 victory.

San Antonio became the Nets' fourth straight opponent to shoot better than 50 percent from the field. The Nets themselves shot just 40 percent. Deron Williams was again the high scorer, finishing with 27 points and eight assists. Kris Humphries added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Jordan Farmar filled the boxscore with 12 points, six boards and seven assists.
