A smoke condition at the Barclays Center subway station before the start of the Nets-Knicks game caused significant delays for fans. Following discovery of the condition at about 6 p.m., trains on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 lines by-passed the arena station. The condition was likely caused by a brake fire on a No. 2 train. FDNY trucks were seen outside the arena, which was nowhere near full just prior to the game's 7 p.m. start.
