The Star-Ledger and Record have basically abandoned the team that abandoned their state, although both still cover the Knicks full-time. But in Brooklyn, two local papers while matching the circulation of the Jersey papers have enthusiastically embraced the Nets. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle and the Brooklyn Paper are all-in on covering the hometown team, with writers and coverage that spans the front page as well as the sports section.
They aren't alone. BrooklynFans.com, a site devoted to the expanding menu of Brooklyn sports teams, is covering the team on a daily basis as well.
