Brooks No Lock for Sixth Man
MarShon Brooks sees himself as the Nets sixth man and a candidate for Sixth Man of the Year. Avery Johnson is not so sure. Brooks has missed some conditioning time and the other guards in the Nets backcourt have looked good so far.

Celtics deal Nets first preseason setback
Brooklyn lost its first game in 45 years on Thursday (and on national TV), and this one was ugly from the start. The Celtics were red hot, and the Nets were not, getting a reality check after a 3-0 start to the preseason.

Brooks Likely Thursday vs. Celtics
MarShon Brooks is likely to make his debut as a Brooklyn Net Thursday night when Brooklyn faces Boston at Barclays Center. Brooks has been idled with achilles soreness. Also, expect Tyshawn Taylor to see big minutes. C.J. Watson is resting.

Nets on TNT Thursday in Celtic Re-Match
The Nets starters, playing with three days rest, will test the team their bench players beat Tuesday night. Deron WIlliams, Joe Johnson et al have a chance to go 4-0 and on national television. The game, at Barclays Center, will be broadcast on TNT.
