Jay-Z has has autographed ten limited edition "Carter 4" jerseys that will be auctioned off for charity. The jerseys are the same as those Jay-Z wore at his eight concerts at Barclays Center. The auction will be conducted by the NBA as auction.nba.com. All proceeds will benefit the Shawn Carter Foundation, which helps individuals in financial distress by funding their education at institutions of higher learning.
The auction will run from October 17 through October 31. Adidas made a small number of the jerseys with the number 4 and Jay-Z's surname "Carter" on the back. Half are away black uniforms, half home whites. The Nets who wore the home whites at Media Day won't wear them again until Opening Night on November 1. They will continue to wear the road blacks during their final three games, two at Barclays Center this week and one at Nassau Coliseum on October 24 vs. the Knicks.
