Big week for Nets on TV. In addition to all four games this week being televised, "The Association" debuts Tuesday and the YES season preview airs Monday night before and after the Wizards game.
Those Nets executives who've seen the first episode of "The Association" say it's a great first look at the Nets move to Brooklyn. Sunday afternoon, Billy King tweeted, "I just got a sneak preview of The Association premiering Tues Oct 16 @ 10 ET on @NBATV. Great homage to Brooklyn and the @BrooklynNets." Another exec told NetsDaily, "You will be proud to be a Nets fan. The NBA Entertainment guys are top shelf and they have done the borough proud."
Although the number of episodes is not set --some of it depends how far the team advances-- there will be five in the fall, at least four in the spring. In addition to being telecast, segments of the episodes will appear on NBA.com, shortly after they air for the first time.
In the first episode Tuesday, "Hello Brooklyn", viewers learn "what Brooklyn and its residents are all about, from its historic roots to the multicultural present," according to NBA Entertainment. Four other episodes will air next month, on November 2, 9, 16, and 30. All episodes start at 6:30 p.m. NBA cameras have been following the team since summer league and were seen shooting the team Saturday in Atlantic City.
The YES season preview is called "Nets 2012: Hello Brooklyn."Sarah Kustok, YES' new sideline reporter, will host the special, which will re-air several times leading up to Opening Night, November 1.
