Fenerbahce, Euroleague favorite, wins third straight (in third different league)

Fenerbahce of Turkey is, for now at least, Europe's best team and the home the Nets' Euro-Stash: Bojan Bogdanovic and Ilkan Karaman. On Saturday night, Fener won its third straight game, each in different league, when it beat Turkish League rival, Erdemir, 83-78. This follows its upset of the Boston Celtics in an FIBA exhibition game and its first win in Euroleague competition.

In Saturday's win, Bogdanovic came off the bench again, scoring 10 points in 28 minutes, shooting 2-for-5 from downtown and missing his only other shot. Bogdanovic has been Fener's sixth man for most of the past two years. Karaman played but nine minutes, going scoreless and grabbing three rebounds.

Most Euroleague pundits think its off-season spending spree (sound familiar?) should lead to improvements, maybe even a title. Despite his sixth man role, at least on European hoops site thinks Bogdanovic is a likely all-Euroleague selection. Bogdanovic hails from Mostar in Bosnia, the same town that produced Mirza Teletovic.
