Neither Bojan Bogdanovic nor Ilkan Karaman started for Fenerbahce in the Euroleague opener Thursday night. The two Euro-Nets combined for 27 minutes and only eight points --four apiece-- and six rebounds --three apiece-- as Fener defeated Khimki, a Russian team that features Zoran Planinic, 92-80, in Istanbul.
Bogdanovic is the team's sixth man but took only four shots and made two in his 13 minutes on the court. He took only one three-pointer and missed it. Karaman, who started at center against the Celtics, shot 1-for-4. No explanation either player's limited minutes. Fener, one of the Euroleague's top teams, relies heavily on the starting backcourt of Bo McCalebb and Romain Sato.
