Got Game? D-League Tryouts Await

Are you 18 or older? Got $150 you can afford to spend? Time for a quick jaunt to L.A. or Chicago? How about game? Got game? Well, if you do, here's an opportunity to show your stuff to D-League scouts, including those of the Nets' affiliate, on September 24. That's the date for the annual D-League tryouts.

The open tryouts are part of the D-League roster stocking process...all part of the build-up for the D-League Draft the first week of November.  Of course, it's also unlikely you'll get drafted. It's more about fun, as the registration form notes: There'll be hands-on instruction from coaches, chalk talk by an NBA D-League Legend or personality, authentic NBA D-League uniform (jersey and shorts) and an autographed photo of NBA Legend AC Green for Los Angeles or NBA Legend Otis Birdsong for Chicago participants!!

Expect to see a local tryout in Springfield, MA., as well.
