BrooklynNets.com Expanding

Since the Nets took control of the BrooklynNets.com URL last March, they've been expanding the site's offerings ...and reinforcing the idea that the team's name will officially be changed to "Brooklyn Nets" sometime in the next few months.  In particular, they've expanded their "Welcome to Brooklyn" page, a Brooklyn bulletin board for shopping, culture, dining, landmarks, arts and offerings by local artists, even Spike Lee.

Last week, it added a video message from Avery Johnson advising fans to keep checking the Nets' Facebook and Twitter pages for "updates" and asking fans to post their comments.  Separately, on the NJNets and Barclays Center website's front pages is another in Jaclyn Sabol's "Brooklyn Spotlight" series on small businesses near the arena, this one on Hooti Couture, a "vintage shop" on Flatbush.  It's all about marketing the Nets to the borough.
