In a column whose style approaches rap, ESPN's Scoop Jackson praises Nets ownership for naming the team, "Brooklyn Nets, calling the move "Renaming their team while making a name for themselves."

Jackson predicted we'll see "'NYK' logos disappearing in Fort Greene, Crown Heights, Bushwick and Bensonhurst. 'BKN' will be the new. 'Nets ... Do or Die' will be the Bed-Stuy cry. Something to live for."

It's not so much nostalgia for the Dodgers, as it is about "a 'city' in need of something to say. Years of notorious sports silence now primed to make noise," Jackson writes.
