In their two years of existence, the Springfield Armor have won 20 out of 100 games and until this year had no NBA parent with more than a passing interest. Now, with the hybrid affiliation, the Armor is hoping everything changes.
"This is a championship city and we’re going to try and represent it as such," new coach (and Nets employee) Bob MacKinnon Jr. told the Springfield Republican.. "And on the other side with the Nets, we’re going to try and develop players, because you can do both."
Things will star to move quickly now. The Armor will soon hire an assistant coach and a trainer. Plus with the Nets, there will be scouting and much more aggressive personnel moves, starting with the National Tryouts this weekend.
