Petro Working Out Alone in City

Writing on his official website, Johan Petro says he's working out with both "a basketball skills guy and a muscle guy" at a New York gym, but the French seven-footer says the lack of camaraderie is making it tough.

"I'm pretty close with all my teammates, but during the summer, none of them are here in New Jersey or even in New York," wrote Petro. "They all go back to their hometowns. So I'm pretty much on my own here and it's kind of a hard situation for me. You can't talk to anyone with the team or in the league office."

Petro does say the lockout is giving him the opportunity to work on things he normally wouldn't focus on and closes by saying, "I can't wait to see who they're going to bring in to complete our team and turn that corner."
