It could just be a throwaway line, but maybe Frank Isola knows something. At the very bottom of a story on how Jamal Crawford, former Knick, is changing agents, after a discussion of how Crawford could be interested in a return to the Knicks is this line: "The Nets are a possibility also, since New Jersey could use a scorer."
Crawford, an unrestricted free agent, is the player MarShon Brooks has modeled his game after...well him and Kobe Bryant. And he has proven himself to be more of a big shot player than Anthony Morrow, although Ammo didn't get his nickname by being reluctant to shoot. Still, without starting a single game over the past two years, Crawford has averaged 16 ppg and won the 2010 Sixth Man of the Year.
