Bojan Bogdanovic, who has always done well in international play, scored 25 points in 27 minutes Saturday as Croatia defeated Montenegro 85-71 in the Adecco Ex-Yu Cup in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Bogdanovic, the 6'8" shooting guard who the Nets took at the top of the second round on Draft night, was 5-for-7 from deep, 8-for-12 overall.
With the score close in the fourth quarter, Bogdanovic hit a corner three, then dunked in traffic to put the game out of reach. Sixer first rounder Nikola Vucevic started for Montenegro, but played only six minutes, scoring two points. Croatia plays Monday vs. Slovenia in the "friendly" tourney. FIBA Eurobasket begins August 31 in Lithuania. Bogdanovic will play for Fenerbache in the Turkish League this fall.
